VENUE HIRE COSTS:

Monday & Tuesday: R12,000
Wednesday & Thursday: R15,000
Friday: R22,000
Saturday: R25,000

150 m2 Wooden decked floor space
Fully stocked bar & catering kitchen
Roof & Bedouin tent over most of the venue
Drop down plastic & canvas blinds
Public parking only

Venue Capacity:
90 formally seated (No Dance Floor)
150 mixed seated (formal, lounge & cocktail)
220 cocktail standing style

EVENT PAYMENT & CONFIRMATION:

Your event is only confirmed once we have received payment of the venue hire amount in full as well as a signed copy of our Venue Hire Contract.

Any additional outstanding payments need to please be settled at least 7 days prior to your event. Please note that all credit card payments have an 2,5% added charge to cover the transaction fees.

ADDITIONAL STAFF REQUIREMENTS:

EVENT COORDINATION

Option 1:
Event Only Option: R350 per hour (minimum 2 hours)
Meet & greet client at event
Management of client’s running order throughout event

Option 2:
Full Coordination Option: R3,500 per event
Additional meeting at venue (two in total)
Arranging & management of all suppliers
Prepares running order for event
Meet & greet client at event
Management of client’s running order throughout event (6 hours)

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGEMENT: R250 PER HOUR (MINIMUM 2 HOURS)

Floor managers manage the operations of the venue during events, they manage all
our staff and ensure that every event runs smoothly operationally.

Up to 45 Pax = 1 Floor Manager (included in venue hire package)
Up to 100 pax = 2 Floor Managers (2nd manager required for duration of actual event)
Over 100 pax = 3 Floor Managers (2nd & 3rd managers required for duration of actual event)

BARTENDERS: R120 PER HOUR PER

There are two bartenders included in the venue hire package - they serve up 45 Pax
Should the event be larger than 45 pax, these are the requirements for bartenders:

1 Extra Bartender needed for 45 to 80 Pax
2 Extra Bartenders needed for 80 to 100 Pax
3 Extra Bartender needed for 100+ Pax

BAR-BACK: R80 PER HOUR PER

1 Extra Bar-back required after 45 pax

WAITERS / SERVERS: R120 PER HOUR PER

There are are no waiters / servers included in the venue hire package
Requirements / recommendations for waiting / serving staff:
1 Waiter for every 20 Pax for any menu.

BEVERAGE & CATERING OPTIONS

We have a few preferred suppliers we work with regularly, we highly recommend
all of them and they are already familiar with our space and our way of working.
We have a fully stocked bar & catering kitchen. Our minimum spend is
Wednesday & Thursday: R10,000 | Friday: R20,000 | Saturday: R40,000

Please note the following with regards to catering through Living Room:

1. All catering needs to be confirmed and paid for in full 7 days prior to your event.
2. Please let the Events Team know about any dietary requirements as soon as possible.
3. All catering is subject to availability.

Paella
Our amazing Paella partners have three different and supremely delicious options available: Seafood, Chicken & Chorizo and Mushroom.

Halaal Platters / Kosher / Vegan
Our suppliers have a great menu of platters which get delivered to Living Room wrapped and ready to eat. We do not unwrap the food prior to serving to avoid the food being spoiled unless requested by guests.

Our specialised menu partners are also able to supply Set Menus if required, they would try and mimic the menus from the best of their abilities.

 

BRINGING YOUR OWN CATERING:

You’re welcome to bring in your own catering. There is a surcharge to close down our kitchen for external catering as well as the use of our kitchen (with wash up area) which is to be left clean and cleared by the end of the event.

SURCHARGE:

Monday & Tuesday: R2,000 | Wednesday & Thurday: R4,000

Friday & Saturday: R6,000

Use of any equipment/gas is additional R40 per head catered for.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

EVENT COORDINATION

Please note that Living Room will host and plan your event as the venue which doesn't include the coordination of your entire event's proceedings. Please let me know if you require an event coordinator for your event and I can quote your accordingly. We'd be delighted to assist with this!

BESPOKE BAR ORDERS

We have a fully stocked bar that can be run either on a tab or cash bar basis and all drinks need to be purchased through our bar. Neither corkage nor outsourced bar services are permitted.

Please check out our Drinks Menu (we have a full list of everything we stock too) for what we have to offer. Should you wish to order in something specific that we don't currently stock, we can source it for you.

DÉCOR

Check our Decor Package for our awesome standardised decor options for both tables and or venue decor. The Decor Package contains a list of our individual decor items for hire as well should you only want a few extra touches of decor for your event.

We have a very talented and passionate Design Team can assist with any and all tailor-made / bespoke
decor needs both onsite and offsite. For any queries / quotes please send a mail through to design@livingroomjozi.co.za.

DJ / ENTERTAINMENT / PHOTOGRAPHY

We have a wide variety of DJ's that we work with regularly with a variety of different genres. You are also welcome to provide your own DJ’s / band for your event but please note that all music entertainment is required to use our sound system as it’s set to sound regulations in the area.

With exclusive venue hire our basic sound system is included as well as our awesome pre-selected playlists or you are also welcome to play your own playlists on this system via laptop / MP3 player. For DJ's / bands the extra sound equipment required (mixer & bigger speakers plus sub woofer) is additional charge of R3,000. This excludes any equipment required by the DJ (XDJ’s / CDJ’s / Vinyl Decks) or the bands (instruments / microphones etc), the performer needs to bring their own.

Please note that due to sound restrictions in the area we require loud sound to go down at 10pm.

AUDIO / VIDEO

We have some basic AV equipment available for hire:

Cordless Microphone for R1100 (R600 for microphone plus mixer for R500)
If you’ve hired the additional sound system (includes mixer) already, it will only be an additional R500 for microphone

32 inch TV screen for R1,500

Projector and screen that we hire out for R5,000

You are welcome to bring in your own AV but we strongly recommend doing a site visit before making any decisions on this. We are also able to source any additional AV equipment for you.

PARKING

We do not have any parking available on our premises but there is safe street parking (guards patrol the precinct 24/7). We always suggest rather using Uber, Taxify or any other shuttle / taxi service especially if your guests will be drinking
